What's the process

Planning

After you submit your inquiry you will receive a location guide and a questionnaire that helps me get to know you better. Once it's complete I will reach out to discuss your responses and we will finalize locations and details.

Photoshoot Day

A week before your shoot we will finalize all the details for your day. When we meet on location I like to give your dog time to sniff, explore and relax. Once we're ready I'll help guide you as you play, interact and engage with your dog.

Portfolio delivery

Within 2 weeks of your shoot you will receive a proof gallery of images where you can choose your favourite 10 images. You also have the opportunity to choose to purchase additional images at this time. Three to four weeks later you will receive your final edited collection via digital portfolio.

FAQ

Can my dog be on a leash?

Definitely! I encourage you to do what is best and safe for your dog. With a little editing you'll never know that your dog was wearing a collar and leash in the final photos.

How do I book a portrait session?

Use the contact form or the book now button below to submit your inquiry to book your session. You will receive a questionnaire and location guide shortly after submitting your inquiry and once you've completed the questionnaire I will reach out to begin planning your photoshoot day.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! When you submit your inquiry you will receive a location guide with suggested locations around the Kamloops area. I'm always open to new locations and multiple locations within one session are possible as long as they are within 15km of each other.

How long does a typical photo session last?

Canine portrait sessions are booked for 2 hours of time. I want to give lots of time for your dog to get used to the location and relax before we start shooting. You and your dog will have time to play and explore during our session which allows for the candid shots we're looking for.

Does my dog need to know any tricks?

No your dog doesn't need to know a million tricks to have a great shoot. I encourage you to work on basic skills like sit and stay before your session.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?

If the weather really doesn't cooperate on the day of the shoot, we can discuss rescheduling. While I love to shoot in a light rain if it's really storming we will reschedule.
